王华明,男,(1962.5.6 —),中国工程院院士,金属增材制造专家,四川省泸州市合江县人。1983年毕业于四川工业学院(现西华大学),1986年获西安交通大学硕士学位,1989年获中国矿业大学博士学位。现任北京航空航天大学教授、大型金属构件增材制造国家工程实验室主任、***激光增材制造技术研究应用中心主任,兼任中国机械工程学会增材制造分会副主任委员。

王华明院士长期从事大型金属构件增材制造和表面工程技术研究,带来团队突破钛合金、超高强度钢等高性能难加工金属大型复杂关键构件激光增材制造工艺、成套设备和工程应用关键技术,开拓机械设备严酷环境关键摩擦副零部件激光熔覆多元金属硅化物高温耐蚀耐磨特种涂层新领域,成果在飞机、火箭、导弹、卫星、航空发动机、燃气轮机等研制和生产中工程应用。发表SCI收录论文200余篇,获“国家技术发明一等奖”1项、部级科技一等奖3项。曾获全国五一劳动奖章、航空报国金奖一等奖、何梁何利科技进步奖、***杰出人才奖等荣誉。

2015年当选中国工程院院士。

Prof. Huaming Wang, who is the expert in metal additive manufacturing, is born in Hejiang, Sichuan Province on May 6th 1962. He acquired bachelor's degree from Sichuan Institute of Technology (now Xihua University) in 1983, master’s degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1986 and doctor’s degree from China University of Mining and Technology in 1989. Currently he is a professor in Beihang University, the director of National Engineering Laboratory of Additive Manufacturing for Large Metallic Components, the director of Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education on Laser Direct Manufacturing for Large Metallic Components, as well as the deputy chairman of China Mechanical Engineering Society Additive Manufacturing Branch.

He long-term engages in the manufacture of large metal components and surface engineering technology research. With his leading, his group breakthrough the basic techniques of additive manufacturing for titanium alloy, ultra-high strength steel and other high performance large complex key metallic components, including additive manufacturing process, complete equipment, and key techniques for engineering application. He also developed new silicide-based coatings which have excellent wear and corrosion resistance under high temperature environment. The achievements have been successfully used as key friction pair in aircraft, rockets, missiles, satellites and aircraft engine, gas turbine and other engineering applications.
